ABOTZ

Abotz

Local born artist ABOTZ passion for graffiti began at a young age, evolving from tagging to more complex pieces. His upbringing in Kilburn heavily influences his art, with inspiration drawn from his environment, including music, art, fashion, and personal relationships.

Abotz uses familiar nostalgic  cartoon characters, which have now become his signature style the defining element of his work. But there is a deeper message. A recurring symbol, a pound symbol adorning the eye of his central character. It serves as a critique of society’s obsession with money and consumerism. “We’re all just a bit brainwashed by money,” Abotz reflects. “And that’s what the characters represent”. His work spans both traditional graffiti and larger-scale street art, as seen in his recent Shoreditch mural as reported  in the ‘Inspiring City’.

Abotz works are being commissioned all over London and he is quickly becoming one of the most recognisable names in the London street art scene.
