Kyujutsu series – All of the pieces in the series are inspired by Kyujutsu which is the martial art of Japanese battlefield archery. They represent the position of holes left in the paper target by the arrows fired by students. Each of the students is aiming to hit the centre, but they inevitably end up all over the target face.The shapes used are also links through to Japanese culture, be they leaves, flowers or the Koi fish.
